In a shadowy corner of a city that never sleeps, a former boxer named Ernie Driscoll struggles to get by in a world where his dreams have been battered. Working as a taxi driver and trapped in a disastrous marriage with a wife who seizes every opportunity to remind him of his failures, Ernie's life seems directionless. However, the arrival of a young actress named Linda brings him a spark of hope. She reminds him of the glow of his days in the ring and motivates him to fight again, not just in the squared circle but also in his personal life.

Things take a dark turn when Ernie becomes embroiled in a murder linked to his friend and powerful promoter, Simon. As the plot unfolds, tension mounts and secrets are revealed that seem connected to the struggle for survival in a criminal and treacherous urban jungle. Ernie must navigate between imminent danger and his aspirations for redemption as the police question him and the true culprits attempt to silence him.

With a deft use of noir and an eerie atmosphere, the story not only reveals the internal struggle of a man destined to lose, but also explores themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the quest for purpose. In an unexpected twist, Ernie's fate will change forever in a final confrontation that will determine not only his life but also the future of those he loves.
