In a small Danish village, a group of convicts is under the care of a strange preacher in a rehabilitation community. Among the inmates is Ivan, a disillusioned man who has been forced to participate in a social reintegration program. His arrival triggers an immediate clash with the peculiar figure of the pastor, who seems to have a very unconventional approach to helping his flock. As Ivan begins to interact with the other characters, a series of both absurd and bold events unfold, challenging the norms of morality and the essence of faith.
The pastor, whose worldview is as optimistic as it is erratic, is determined to show them the brighter side of life, even though his methods often border on the absurd. Meanwhile, Ivan and the other prisoners grapple with their own internal demons, prompting them to question the nature of good and evil. The story paints a picture of a series of misadventures where religious beliefs and personal choices take center stage, blurring the line between madness and redemption.
With a strong backdrop of dark comedy, the film invites reflection on human nature and the purposes each person sets for themselves. With unexpected twists and an endearing cast, the story becomes a journey of self-discovery filled with laughter and impactful moments that will leave a mark on the audience.
