In 1972, a group of young Uruguayan rugby players embarks on an exciting journey to the destination of their dreams: a match in Chile. However, what begins as an adventure full of promises quickly turns into a fight for survival after a terrifying plane crash in the Andes. The team finds itself trapped in an inhospitable landscape, covered in snow, facing not only the extreme cold and lack of food but also their own physical and emotional limits.
As days turn into weeks, despair takes hold of the survivors. The decision to resort to the most extreme means to stay alive poses intense moral dilemmas, while friendship and solidarity are put to the test. The group finds itself divided between the hope of rescue and the acknowledgment that they may be alone in that vast, frozen solitude.
With moving performances and a narrative that captivates from the very first moment, the story takes the viewer on a poignant human journey, exploring the strength of the human spirit and the struggle for life. Each character, faced with their own personal demon, reveals resilience and sacrifice in life-or-death situations. Although the journey is heartbreaking and exhausting, the film focuses on the power of human connection and the will to never give up, even when the situation seems as dark as the storm surrounding them. A cinematic experience that leaves a mark!
