In this endearing comedy from 1913, we follow the adventures of a young city dweller who decides to escape his monotonous urban lifestyle and venture into nature. Tired of the urban hustle and seeking a more authentic connection with his surroundings, he embarks on an exciting adventure in the forest. At first, his idea of living like a savage becomes a true challenge, as he has no clue how to survive amidst the flora and fauna.

After some comical misadventures, such as trying to catch fish with his bare hands and discovering that not all animals are friendly, the protagonist begins to adapt to his new home. However, his natural charm will attract a group of curious villagers who watch in amazement as he attempts to imitate a man of the jungle. Amid laughter and absurd situations, the young man not only learns to live primitively but also starts to understand the value of community and friendship.

As his journey continues, he realizes that his idea of freedom can have multiple interpretations. With a touch of romance and endless misunderstandings, this nostalgic tale reminds us that sometimes you have to get lost to truly find yourself, and that true wisdom can come from the most unexpected places. With a narrative full of humor and tenderness, this silent film gem serves as a reminder of life’s simple pleasures.
