The Anniversary

In an elegant country house, three siblings return to celebrate their mother’s birthday, who is about to turn 70. The atmosphere is filled with nostalgia, unresolved tensions, and family secrets as everyone gathers for the first time in years. The mother, a dominant matriarch whose presence looms over everyone, becomes the center of attention, but not everything is laughter and happy memories. Hidden conflicts begin to surface, revealing rivalries and frustrations that have built up over time.

As the night progresses, the siblings find themselves caught up in discussions about their upbringing, lost love, and the choices that have led them to their current lives. Each one struggles to find their place in the family, confronting old wounds that never healed. The interactions are intense and painful, reflecting the complex web of relationships they have woven over the years. Everything escalates with the arrival of certain figures from the past that threaten the already fragile balance of the gathering.

With a production design that evokes the glamour of the 1960s, the film combines elements of drama and dark comedy, exploring family dynamics through witty dialogue and moments of deep reflection. The story's conclusion leaves all the protagonists at a crossroads, forcing them to face not only their memories but also their uncertain future as the clock ticks toward midnight.
