Bad Education

In 1980s Madrid, the life of Ignacio, a young man aspiring to become a filmmaker, intertwines with the dark past of his childhood. After receiving a script from his old friend Angel, Ignacio is forced to confront his deepest traumas and secrets. Through memories of his time at a strict religious boarding school, a story of forbidden love and manipulation emerges. His teacher, the enigmatic yet troubled Don Javier, stirs up confusing feelings within him, pushing Ignacio to explore his sexual identity and the complexity of his relationships.

As the narrative unfolds, the line between reality and fiction becomes increasingly blurred. Amidst laughter, tears, and moments of intense confusion, the characters confront their inner demons, struggling for acceptance and truth in a world that rejects what is different. The story is enveloped in a mystery that encompasses not only the search for love but also a denunciation of an oppressive educational system.

This gripping drama captures the essence of lost youth, the struggle for authenticity, and the powerful impact of repression. With stunning visual style and an emotionally charged plot, the film becomes a poignant journey toward redemption and self-discovery, where every choice has consequences that resonate throughout a lifetime.
