Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans

In a post-Katrina New Orleans, a police lieutenant, caught between corruption and his addiction to drugs, plunges into a chaotic and desolate world. Terence McDonagh, an officer marked by his past, becomes the face of the fight against crime after a hurricane leaves the city in ruins. However, the line between good and evil blurs as he begins to involve himself with criminals and to use his powers to satisfy his growing strangeness and need for narcotics.

Everything changes when he is assigned to investigate the brutal execution of an immigrant family. With his erratic and obsessive behavior, Terence faces not only external dangers but also his own inner demons. The desperate decisions he makes to keep his addiction afloat lead him into increasingly compromising situations, revealing the worst of his character as he sabotages the trust of his colleagues, his girlfriend, and himself.

The film creates a haunting portrait of a man struggling not only against crime on the streets but also against the chaos of his own life. With moments of tension and a slight touch of dark humor, the narrative reflects the complexity of the human struggle, where redemption seems an almost impossible task. Terence's story is an emotional rollercoaster, a descent into the abyss that leaves the viewer questioning the price paid for the pursuit of truth and personal fulfillment.
