In a remote village in Siberia, a young hunter named Aleksei leads a tranquil life but longs for a more exciting existence. His life takes an unexpected turn when, while exploring the nearby woods, he stumbles upon a mythical beast that is said to guard a dark secret. At first, he feels terrified, but soon he discovers that the beast, a massive wolf, is the guardian of an ancient legend that has been forgotten by the villagers for centuries.
The connection between Aleksei and the beast intensifies when he becomes the only hope for saving his community from an imminent threat: a group of poachers who have arrived with the intention of extracting valuable natural resources from the region. Aleksei faces a moral dilemma: should he protect the beast and the ecosystem it represents, or join the villagers who see it as a danger?
As the plot unfolds, the young man will not only struggle to understand his relationship with the beast but also to discover his own worth and the meaning of true bravery. Amidst the tension of the hunt, the possibility of loss, and the hope of redemption, Aleksei will find his place in the world, reminding everyone that sometimes, the greatest monsters are not in nature but in the human heart.
