In a not-so-distant future, a robot designed to serve humans, named Andrew, is acquired by the Martin family as a simple household assistant. From day one, his curiosity and desire to understand humanity set him apart from other robots. Over time, Andrew begins to develop emotions, aspirations, and, most remarkably, a sense of his own identity. As the story progresses, Andrew faces the complexities of being a synthetic being in a world that does not always accept him.

With each interaction, Andrew realizes that his purpose extends far beyond serving; he wants to be recognized as a complete human being. Over the decades, Andrew embarks on an epic quest to become what he considers to be "human," leading him to make surprising decisions and to alter his own programming. His journey leads him to question not only his existence but also the notions of life, love, and what it truly means to be a man.

The story reaches a climax when Andrew makes the bold decision to renounce his immortality in order to experience life as a human in all its complexity, including its finitude. In a poignant journey through time, the narrative evolves into a profound reflection on humanity, eternal love, and what it truly means to live.
