In this charming musical comedy from 1931, we find ourselves in a world full of glamour and misunderstandings. The story follows two inseparable friends, Ruby and Louise, who work in a clothing store and share dreams of fame and fortune. Their lives take an unexpected turn when a famous fashion designer shows interest in a dress that Ruby has roughly crafted, believing it to be an original creation. Unaware of the mix-up, the designer promises to introduce Ruby and Louise to high society.

Emotions run high as the girls, convinced of their destiny as stars, find themselves caught in a whirlwind of parties, encounters, and disappointments. But the tension escalates when a handsome fiancé enters the picture, crossing the fine line between friendship and love. Dazzling lights, extravagant dresses, and a plethora of catchy songs spice up the narrative as our protagonists strive not only to stay together but also to discover who they truly are amidst all this upheaval.

As class differences and social pressure threaten to pull them apart, Ruby and Louise must remember what really matters: friendship and sincerity. With a light and entertaining tone, the film explores the girls' struggle to find their place in the world, making the audience laugh and feel at every turn of this journey. A tribute to camaraderie and dreams, all set against a backdrop of catchy melodies and endless laughter.
