Bonjour Tristesse

On the French Riviera, a young and beautiful teenager, Cécile, lives a carefree and pleasure-filled life under the indulgent wing of her father, a charismatic widower who enjoys a laid-back lifestyle. Together, they spend their days amidst parties, romances, and the carefree existence afforded by their privileged status. However, the arrival of a serious and sophisticated friend of her father's, Anne, disrupts this idyllic life. Anne attempts to restore morality and order to Cécile and her father's lives, which causes a fracture in the static tranquility they had enjoyed.

Cécile, feeling threatened by Anne's authoritative presence, orchestrates a plan to get rid of her. Her initial intent seems innocent, but it soon spirals into a dangerous game of manipulation and jealousy. The young girl, caught between her desire for freedom and the death of her childhood, faces an internal conflict where love, betrayal, and despair collide in a heartbreaking way. As the plot unfolds, the bright atmosphere of the Riviera turns dark, reflecting the escalating emotional turmoil in Cécile's life. When the consequences of her actions finally unfold, the teenager must confront the sorrow she has sown, overwhelmed by her inability to control her own fate as everything she holds dear crumbles before her eyes. The story becomes a meditation on the passage from childhood to adulthood, love, and loss.
