In an American suburb in the mid-seventies, a young man named Tod faces an unprecedented challenge since his birth: his body is extremely vulnerable to any type of infection. Raised in a controlled and protected environment, his world is limited to the plastic bubble in which he lives, meaning he cannot have physical contact with the outside. Despite this limitation, Tod has an indomitable spirit and a curious mind, fueled by movies and music.

Upon turning 16, the isolating bubble begins to weigh heavily on him. Showing a fierce desire for freedom, he makes an effort to experience life from his confinement. Through the screen of his bubble, he falls in love with a schoolmate, who inspires him to challenge the barriers surrounding him. However, his love becomes a complex labyrinth of emotions as he confronts the reality of his situation: can he truly live fully if the environment is filled with risks that could threaten his life?

As the days go by, Tod begins to question his future and his choices, facing an internal struggle between the desire for love and the need for protection. With touching moments and intense drama, Tod seeks to find a balance in a world where he, despite his physical limitations, wishes to leave a mark and connect with those around him.
