In a small British town during the 1920s, two inseparable young people, Alice and Robert, navigate the confusion of adolescence amidst a whirlwind of social and cultural change. Alice, a dreamer with artistic aspirations, feels trapped in the monotony of her days, yearning for a life filled with adventures beyond the walls of her home. On the other hand, Robert, an introspective young man with an innate talent for music, feels that his life lacks purpose and struggles to find his place in a world that seems to be moving on without him.

One day, their relationship is shaken by the arrival of an enigmatic outsider who challenges conventions and shows them a path toward freedom and self-discovery. This new friend introduces Alice and Robert to a world of art, music, and unbridled love, as the spring rains transform the landscape and their hearts.

As the three embark on a series of thrilling adventures, secrets, passions, and decisions arise that will mark their lives forever. However, the fear of change and the uncertainty of what the future holds threaten to separate them. As emotions intensify and a storm looms, Alice and Robert must confront their own fears and find the strength to follow their own paths, defying all expectations and leaving behind the innocence of their childhood.
