In a quiet town in the United States, a lonely teenager named Arnie Cunningham feels powerless against his life and surroundings. Everything changes when he discovers a classic car that seems to have a life of its own: a 1958 Pontiac Fury. As Arnie restores the vehicle, he also begins to transform; he becomes more confident, more popular, and, above all, obsessed with his new treasure. However, what starts as a simple project evolves into a toxic bond when it is revealed that the car has a dark past and supernatural powers that make it a dangerous entity.
As Arnie distances himself from his friends and family, his relationship with his girlfriend, Leigh, becomes complicated. His fascination with the car blinds him to reality, ignoring the dangers that the vehicle brings. Whispers of past tragedies surround the automobile, linked to events of blood and revenge that seem to haunt anyone daring to stand in its way. When one of his former bullies confronts him, the car takes control and unleashes a wave of violence that terrorizes the town. Arnie faces the struggle between love for his car and the danger it represents, leading his life to a breaking point where he must decide whether to challenge the dark force that has invaded his being or succumb to its powerful allure. In a climax filled with tension, Arnie will have to confront his own demons and the horror he has unleashed.
