In a dark and dystopian future, we follow the life of Alex, a young gang leader with an obsession for violence, classical music, and mischief. Alongside his loyal companions, he embarks on a series of brutal crimes and attacks on the innocent, reveling in the chaos he causes. Alex’s life transforms when, after a robbery attempt goes wrong, he is captured and sent to prison.
Once behind bars, Alex realizes that his life of crime could come to an abrupt end due to a new treatment being experimented with by the government. The method, which promises to “reform” criminals through aversion, subjects him to a series of psychological tortures designed to eliminate his violent instincts. However, the treatment is so effective that it also robs him of his ability to experience pleasure or enjoy music, creating a void within him.
The story takes an unexpected turn when, upon his release from prison, Alex faces rejection from society. His new condition turns him into a pariah, unable to defend himself from those who were once his victims. The film explores the moral dilemmas of free will and the consequences of a society that seeks to control its individuals through fear and manipulation. As Alex tries to find his path in a world that has shunned him, we are invited to reflect on the true meaning of freedom and humanity.
