In a vibrant coastal city of the 1920s, a young dreamer works as a waiter in a small beach bar while waiting for his big break in the entertainment world. One day, he meets an enigmatic jazz singer performing at the venue, whose hypnotizing voice instantly draws him in. She, in turn, is trapped in a toxic relationship with a manipulative music producer who takes advantage of her talent.
As the young man struggles to compose his own music, he becomes the confidant of the talented singer, helping her find her true voice beyond what her producer allows her to experiment with.
