In a small and peaceful town, a group of children plays and has fun carefree while their single mother, Agnes, struggles to make ends meet. Her life takes an unexpected turn when, upon discovering an ancient and mysterious coat in the attic of her home, she begins to receive love letters from an unknown sender who often seems to know intimate details about her life. Intrigued, Agnes immerses herself in a mix of emotions ranging from confusion to hope.

However, as the letters keep coming, Agnes realizes that there is something more sinister behind this communication; the messages conceal dark secrets linked to a past she believed she had left behind. The atmosphere of the town becomes increasingly oppressive, and the children—once a comfort to her—transform into a symbol of vulnerability.

Caught between the search for love and the urgent need to protect her children, Agnes must make difficult decisions that will impact her life and that of her little ones. With a play of light and shadows in the background, the story reaches a haunting climax where motherhood, vulnerability, and danger intertwine in a moving narrative. Ultimately, Agnes must confront her own demons and discover how far she is willing to go to safeguard her family's future.
