In a world full of tensions and suspicions after World War II, a group of friends gathers to enjoy a quiet evening in an apartment in New York City. However, the night takes an unexpected turn when one of them is murdered, triggering an intrigue that reveals the darkest secrets of each character. Among those present is a young ex-soldier, haunted by memories of war, who begins to suspect that the crime is linked to the growing threat of antisemitism in society.

As the ex-soldier delves deeper, he finds himself caught in a dangerous game, where paranoia takes hold of the friends and loyalties are tested. The tense dialogues and furtive glances reflect the increasing distrust as the characters grapple with their own prejudices and fears. The atmosphere thickens with each revelation, unveiling the complexity of human relationships and questioning the moral values of its protagonists.

With an incisive focus on intolerance and violence, the film explores the impact of crime on everyday life and how it can shatter the appearances of harmony. The climax culminates in a confrontation that not only determines the fate of those involved but also serves as a mirror to humanity's larger struggle against hatred. With a clever script and memorable performances, the narrative immerses you in a profound reflection on human nature and the quest for truth.
