In a bourgeois neighborhood of Paris, the life of a young employee at a publishing house takes an unexpected turn when he falls hopelessly in love with an enigmatic woman who has just entered his life. As he struggles to climb the career ladder, he finds himself caught in a whirlwind of emotions and tensions that will shake his principles and his happiness. This charming woman, an artist with identity issues, challenges his conceptions of love, dreams, and reality.

As their relationship progresses, the shocking truth about her past is gradually revealed, unfolding a story that intertwines the personal and the political, the intimate and the social in a tumultuous France undergoing change. The narrative unfolds in an atmosphere rich with literary and artistic references, where the protagonist must confront his own demons and the pressure of the surrounding society.

With unexpected twists and witty dialogue, each scene reflects the moral dilemma of the characters, who are forced to question the meaning of true love and the choices they have made. At the climax, the protagonist faces a crossroads: should he follow his heart or his head? Amid the confusion and the pursuit of happiness, the film keeps the audience on the edge of their seats as it explores the boundaries of madness and reason in love.
