In the mid-18th century, a young and handsome nobleman named Barnabas Collins lives a dream life in his mansion in Maine, alongside his family and the servants who are part of his world. However, his life takes a dark turn when he rejects the love of an obsessed witch, Angelique Bouchard. Vengeful and powerful, she turns him into a vampire and buries him alive, condemning him to a life of solitude. Two centuries later, Barnabas is accidentally freed from his tomb and returns to the modern world, finding a very different 20th century from the one he knew.
Disoriented and surprised by the advancements, he reunites with his family, which has fallen into ruin, and discovers that Angelique is still alive, intent on ruining what remains of his legacy. With his dark sense of humor and the peculiar aesthetic characteristic of his director's work, Barnabas attempts to restore the glory of his home and protect his loved ones. To do so, he surrounds himself with an eccentric mix of relatives and servants, each with their own quirks and issues. As the story unfolds, the vampire must face old demons and new challenges while navigating a world of love, revenge, and redemption.
With a star-studded cast and a distinctive visual style, this story blends comedy with gothic elements, creating a fun and unexpected journey through time, where love and darkness are always intertwined.
