In a world ravaged by war and desolation, a humble philosophy professor finds himself trapped amid the ruins of his hometown. As the shadows of despair and guilt loom over him, he begins to receive disturbing visions that force him to question his place in humanity. To make matters worse, a mysterious ancient book appears in his hands, its contents seemingly linked to an ancient evil that has haunted humanity since time immemorial.

Driven by a desire for redemption, the professor embarks on a quest to unravel the secrets of the book, which describes an ancient ritual capable of freeing his contemporaries from the cycle of suffering and destruction. However, as he delves deeper into the history of the manuscript, he discovers that he is not only confronting the demons of his past but also dark forces that have been unleashed by human curiosity.

Accompanied by a young and brave journalist, he sets out on a journey filled with danger and heart-wrenching revelations, where each clue brings him closer to the truth, but also to his own destruction. Faced with a moral decision that could change the course of humanity, the professor must choose between maintaining the status quo of his monotonous existence or aligning himself with a radical change that could save or condemn his kind forever. Time is running out, and the fate of the world hangs by a thread.
