A man named Johnny Smith awakens from a five-year coma after a car accident. Upon doing so, he discovers that he has acquired extraordinary psychic powers that allow him to see the past and future of people by touching them. This new ability leaves him confused and distressed, as he must not only cope with the memories of his former life but also with the fear of what these visions may mean.
As he tries to regain some normalcy in his life, Johnny establishes a relationship with Sarah, his lost love, who now has her own family. His inner struggle intensifies when he begins to use his gift to help the police solve crimes. However, the turning point comes when an encounter with a political aspirant reveals a terrifying future that could lead to the deaths of many people. Johnny must make a devastating decision: act to stop this man and attempt to change the course of history, despite the consequences this might have for his own life.
As tension mounts, Johnny also has to face the rejection of those around him, who see his abilities as a curse, and the frustration of being unable to control his destiny. The film immerses us in a deep reflection on the responsibility that comes with power and the moral dilemma of knowing what is to come.
