In early 20th century England, where women fight for their rights and their voices are silenced, a group of brave suffragists unite in an epic battle for equality. The story follows young Maud, a laundry worker who, after witnessing the injustice faced by the women around her, decides to join the movement. Her simple, routine life becomes a whirlwind of events as she finds herself caught in a clandestine network of activism, where the passion for change blends with danger.

As Maud delves deeper into this world, she meets a series of unforgettable characters: the charismatic Edith, a seasoned leader of the movement, who draws Maud into fiery rallies and protests; and Maud's patient husband, who finds himself torn between his love for her and his fear of the repercussions of her actions. The film perfectly captures the emotional tensions as the community begins to divide over the struggle for civil rights.

With courage and determination, Maud and her fellow activists confront oppression with ingenuity and cunning, from massive parades to acts of civil disobedience. But the road to freedom is fraught with sacrifices and pain. In this moving story, the ideals of equality become a powerful call to action, showcasing the unbreakable strength of those who refuse to be silenced.
