In a small town in the southwest of the United States, the life of a young woman named Mary takes an unexpected turn when she falls madly in love with a mysterious stranger. This unknown figure appears in her life like an oasis in the middle of the desert, bringing an air of adventure and promises of freedom that captivate Mary's heart. However, their relationship is complicated, as the stranger harbors dark secrets from his past that have led him to wander from place to place.

Meanwhile, the town, monotonous and conservative, has remained unchanged. The neighbors, with their distrustful glances, begin to murmur and question the nature of this transgressive relationship. Mary finds herself caught between the desire to follow her heart and the expectations of her family and community. As the story unfolds, the young woman must face difficult decisions that will test her love and her courage.

The desert environment symbolizes both the aridity of routine life and the promise of passionate love. In a series of encounters and misunderstandings with the stranger, Mary will discover her true strength and the importance of being free in the pursuit of love. This timeless and moving film invites us to reflect on the true desires of the heart and the price we are willing to pay for them. Ultimately, it is a journey towards personal discovery and the struggle for authenticity in a world that seeks to shape us.
