In a luxurious yet unusual boarding house in the heart of Berlin, a colorful group of tenants confronts the challenges of urban life in the 1920s. The story follows a young writer, trapped in the routine of his daily life and steeped in despair over finding his creative voice. His fortune changes when a mysterious mouse wanders through the rooms, leading him to unexpected encounters with his peculiar neighbors.

Among them is a charming con artist seeking to take advantage of men's naiveté, an old and eccentric artist who harbors secrets from the past, and a young artist who is also struggling to survive in this hostile environment. As the mouse creates connections between these characters, their dreams, fears, and hidden desires are unveiled. More than just a simple rodent, it symbolizes the struggle against mediocrity and the quest for authenticity in a constantly changing world.

With a comedic tone and a subtle touch of drama, the film explores the relationship between creativity and everyday challenges, showcasing how small situations can trigger significant transformations. The vibrant atmosphere of Berlin in the 1920s becomes another character, representing the cultural effervescence of the era. On their journeys, each tenant fights to find their place in the world, while the clever and curious mouse guides them toward personal discovery.
