On a remote Caribbean island, a group of archaeologists stumbles upon an incredible discovery: a fossil site that, after an unexpected radioactive accident, animates a group of dinosaurs and brings them back to life. Suddenly, in the midst of their excavation, enormous prehistoric reptiles, such as a fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex and a docile Brontosaurus, begin to roam the island, creating chaos in their wake.
As the dinosaurs rejuvenate, tension builds when a group of pirates, drawn by the idea of plundering the island, learns of the situation and seeks to gain control of these gigantic creatures. The archaeologists, led by a daring paleontologist and his assistant, must fight not only for their survival but also to protect the creatures from falling into the wrong hands. In their fervent quest to find a way to return the dinosaurs to their inert state, comical and thrilling situations ensue, dazzling with both action and freshness.
With special effects of the time that, although rudimentary, manage to convey the majesty of these enormous animals, the film is a mix of adventure, horror, and comedy. In the end, the group is forced to make difficult decisions about respecting nature and the mystery of time, making it as much a reflective experience as it is entertaining.
