In a small town in Sicily, tranquility is interrupted by a series of brutal child murders. The peace of the place fades as the community is horrified by the appearance of the corpses, which are unearthed in a chilling manner. The police detective, a tough and brooding man, arrives to investigate the crimes. He soon finds himself caught in a web of secrets and past crimes that reveal the dark nature of its inhabitants.

As he delves deeper into the inquiries, the detective realizes that he is not only dealing with a murder case but also with the tensions and traumas of a town marked by superstitions and a strong sense of community. As the identities of the suspects are unveiled, the lines between justice and revenge become blurred. Every conversation and glimpse into the past reveal open wounds that continue to bleed, intertwining horror with the intriguing beauty of Sicily.

The atmosphere becomes increasingly oppressive as secrets come to light, and the bonds among the inhabitants are tested in unexpected ways. What begins as a case of child murders turns into a chilling exploration of human nature and the capacity of communities to conceal their worst instincts. In a shocking finale, the truth emerges, leaving everyone wondering how far the darkness can reach in the depths of our souls.
