In a gloomy boarding house in London, an eclectic group of tenants finds themselves juggling the tensions of everyday life and an unexpected problem: a mysterious fungus threatening to devour their home. Among the tenants are a cabaret singer seeking a breakthrough, a frustrated writer battling creative block, and a young foreigner trying to escape her past. When they discover that the source of the fungus stems from the mischief of a long-gone former tenant, chaos ensues.

As the characters attempt to cope with this plague, secrets are revealed that will test their nerves and ingenuity. The prevailing comedy intertwines with moments of tension, where each must confront their fears and desires. Meanwhile, the relationship between the singer and the young woman intensifies, creating an unexpected love triangle. Misunderstandings and rivalry add a hilarious touch to the situation, and the tenants must find a solution before the fungus wreaks inappropriate havoc.

Amidst this crisis, the struggle of these characters to find their place in the world is reflected. The story, filled with comedic twists and eccentric situations, not only offers laughter but also a profound look at friendship, love, and the quest for a future, all while they try to save not just their home but also their hopes.
