In a small German town marked by political tensions and social conflicts, the lives of the inhabitants take an unexpected turn when a mysterious industrial disaster unleashes a devastating fire in a local factory. As the flames consume the building, a heterogeneous group of characters is forced to unite to face the imminent danger. Among them are Hans, a young idealist who dreams of a better future; Greta, a single mother with a traumatic past; and Klaus, an elderly man who has seen life from multiple perspectives.
As the fire ravages everything in its path, the characters must confront their own inner demons and their differences, as each has deeply personal reasons to fight for their survival and that of their loved ones.
