In the bustling context of a city at war, a clumsy yet charming detective named Mortimer McDougall finds himself caught in a web of deceit and misunderstandings. While trying to solve a series of arms thefts at military facilities, McDougall attempts to prove his worth to his boss and, above all, to his beloved and elusive journalist, Clara. However, things do not go as he hopes, and instead of capturing the criminals, he ends up in ridiculous situations that put him in the crosshairs of both the police and the criminals.

As McDougall stumbles upon clues, chases shadows, and gets entangled in a series of absurd pursuits, he becomes the epicenter of a hilarious chaos. In a funny twist of fate, he discovers that the plot goes far beyond mere thefts; there are conspiracies at play that could determine the fate of the nation. As McDougall and Clara try to unravel the mysteries, romantic and comedic misunderstandings arise along the way.

With a visual style reminiscent of silent cinema and a perfect blend of slapstick and romance, the story combines the tension of the mystery genre with the comedic situations typical of the era. As they get closer to the truth, the sweet detective McDougall will find not only answers about the crime but also about his place in Clara's heart. A laugh-out-loud adventure filled with surprises that will keep everyone on the edge of their seats!
