The Fable of the 'People's Choice Who Answered the Call of Duty and Took Seltzer'

In a small American town during World War I, daily life is disrupted by the arrival of a group of soldiers who, with great sympathy and enthusiasm, seek to recruit local youths to join the war effort. Among these young men is Charlie, a dreamer who has always longed to escape his monotonous job at the grocery store. Charlie feels inspired by the soldiers’ words and decides to answer the call of duty.

However, his path to greatness is not as easy as it seems. As he trains at the military camp, he realizes that the life of a soldier is very different from what he had imagined, especially with his clumsy battalion mate, Gus, who always finds a way to get into trouble. But instead of giving up, Charlie laughs at the challenges, turning every mishap into a life lesson.

The story takes an unexpected turn when both soldiers are assigned to an important mission involving a rival seltzer company that has begun to stir up trouble in the town. With cleverness and a good dose of humor, Charlie and Gus embark on a series of misadventures that culminate in a hilarious bubble battle, where loyalty and friendship shine brighter than any war stereotype. Through comedic and heartwarming situations, the young men learn about the value of community and the true essence of heroism.
