Fib the Truth

In a small village in Russia, the life of Vera, a young and talented artist, takes an unexpected turn when she learns that her mother, with whom she has had a complicated relationship, is seriously ill. Putting her own artistic dreams on hold, Vera returns home, where she is confronted by the old ghosts of her childhood and the family secrets she thought she had left behind. As she takes on the responsibility of caring for her mother, she is forced to face the truth about her past, the lies that have shaped her life, and the impact they have had on her relationship with her mother.

As the days go by, Vera begins to paint again, using art as a form of therapy, but also as a means to explore the hidden truths she has ignored for so long. However, the tension between her and her mother continues to grow, revealing a web of unresolved resentments and conflicts. In this emotionally charged environment, the young woman must make difficult decisions: to forgive, to forget, or perhaps to find a way to reconcile with her mother before it is too late.

The story becomes an emotional journey of self-discovery, filled with moments of tenderness and heartbreak, where the truth is not always the easiest path, but it is the most necessary one. With impactful performances, the film offers a profound reflection on love, family relationships, and the healing power of art.
