In a small French village in the early 20th century, the lives of the inhabitants are shaken by a strange epidemic that begins to affect the youth. The story follows Louise, a dreamy and rebellious young woman who yearns to escape the monotony of her life and the strict expectations imposed on her by society. As outbreaks of fever start to spread, Louise encounters Paul, a free-spirited young man who feels trapped in the routine of agricultural work.

Together, they explore the beauty of the countryside and share their longings for freedom, but the impending health crisis plunges the village into a state of panic and desperation. As cases increase, the community becomes divided between those seeking rational solutions and those who are swayed by superstitions and ancient beliefs. Louise and Paul must confront not only the threat of illness but also the judgments and fears of their neighbors.

Amid the chaos, their bond grows stronger, and the fever becomes a symbol of the struggle for freedom and love in a world that seems intent on suppressing it all. With an evocative visual style, the narrative swings between poetic and harsh reality, weaving a touching portrait of youth, passion, and the desire to break free from the chains of the past. All of this unfolds as the shadow of fever looms over every decision and every shared moment.
