In a small suburb in the United States, two children find themselves caught up in a web of love and heartbreak that unfolds through their eyes at two different periods of their lives. Juli Baker, a dreamy and insightful girl with a vibrant personality, is drawn to her neighbor, Bryce Loski, from the moment she first sees him. While Juli views Bryce as a potential true love, he feels overwhelmed by her constant attention and bold character.

Over the years, the story intertwines between the perspectives of both protagonists. While Juli continues to love Bryce, he struggles with his own feelings and the pressure from his friends. The conflict intensifies when Juli decides to take a step back, realizing that she deserves more than Bryce's lukewarm interest. This is where everything takes an unexpected turn: Bryce is forced to reconsider his future as he realizes all that Juli has to offer.

In this heartfelt romantic comedy, youth, growth, and self-discovery are at the forefront. As the characters mature and their dynamics evolve, the film invites us to reflect on what it truly means to love and be loved. With a nostalgic touch, each scene is imbued with sweetness and melancholy, guiding the viewer on an emotional journey that reminds us of the fragility and beauty of first loves.
