In the era of freedom and excess of the 1980s, a group of teenagers explores the complexities of growing up in a suburb of Los Angeles. Amanda, portrayed with sweetness and disillusionment, is a young girl who, along with her friends, faces the reality of leaving childhood behind. The story follows this group of three girls as they navigate the tumultuous sea of friendship, relationships, and the search for identity, while also dealing with the pressures of school life and societal expectations.

As they embark on the adventure of adulthood, the girls find themselves surrounded by parties, fleeting romances, and impulsive decisions. However, the atmosphere of fun clashes with the high cost of independence, and events start to unfold that will make them question whether they are really ready for the adult world. Amid laughter and tears, they discover that life is not always what it seems and that friendship is a refuge in times of turmoil.

The film captures the essence of that blend of joy and melancholy that accompanies adolescence, showcasing moments of laughter and vulnerability. As they try to find their place in a changing world, these friends will have to confront difficult decisions and the harsh reality of betrayal and loss, reminding us that growing up is not just exciting, but also a journey filled with unexpected lessons.
