The Freshet

In a remote village, winter has left its mark, covering everything with a blanket of snow. Life seems to have frozen, and the inhabitants are forced to adapt to an unyielding environment. Among them is a young farmer who dreams of a fresh start, away from the routine and harshness of the countryside. As spring approaches, so does the hope for a change in his life.

The story revolves around a group of characters who must face the adversities of the thaw, a phenomenon that brings both beauty and chaos. The rivers begin to overflow, carrying with them old grudges and buried secrets among the villagers. Our protagonist, determined to seize the arrival of the new season, embarks on an adventure that will lead him to rediscover lost friendships and strengthen family ties.

However, the flooding that comes with spring does not only affect the land; it also unleashes a series of hidden tensions within the village. As the waters rise, the interactions among the characters reveal fundamental truths about love, loss, and community. The struggle for survival becomes a metaphor for personal and collective growth, where hardened hearts will be challenged by the purity of a new dawn. In this journey, it will be learned that, although life is filled with unpredictable changes, there is always room for regeneration.
