At a summer camp in Crystal Lake, a group of eager young people prepares to open the facilities after years of closure. However, the camp's history is marked by a dark tragedy: many years ago, a boy named Jason drowned in the lake, and his mother, Pamela, went mad with grief and vengeance. At first, the teenagers seem to enjoy their days under the sun, but as night falls over the camp, they begin to disappear one by one, victims of a strange and violent killer.
The atmosphere of terror intensifies when the missing ones are found with horrendous wounds. The campers try to stay calm, but soon discover that evil lurks in every corner of the camp. One of the counselors, Alice, becomes the voice of reason and does everything she can to keep the others safe, while the shadows of the past are unleashed, revealing the lethal connection between the killer and the camp’s history.
Unsure of whom to trust, Alice must unravel the mystery surrounding Crystal Lake before it becomes her grave. Tension rises and horror takes over the night as survival turns into an extreme struggle against an unrelenting foe. The nightmare at the camp escalates, unleashing the true horror that everyone feared.
