A group of friends decides to spend a fun weekend in a cabin near the infamous Crystal Lake, a place tainted by a dark history of serial murders. Upon their arrival, they feel excited about the possibilities of adventure and relaxation, ignoring the rumors about the tragic past of the area. As they enjoy the sunny days, they begin to explore the surroundings, including a mysterious forest and an old campsite.
However, the atmosphere of joy turns unsettling when the young people encounter a group of locals who warn them about the legend of a killer who lurks in the area, known for his hockey mask. Initially skeptical, they downplay the warnings, but soon begin to disappear in horrifying ways. What seemed to be a simple weekend transforms into a terrifying nightmare as a masked figure starts to stalk them one by one, revealing an unstoppable force rising from the darkness.
