In a vibrant neighborhood in Taiwan, we meet Hui-Ching, a teenager in the midst of finding her identity. The girl feels trapped between her family's expectations and her desires for freedom, leading her to discover a world full of challenges and adventures. Through Hui-Ching's perspective, we explore her struggle for self-discovery in an environment that often weighs on her.

The film kicks off with an unexpected twist when Hui-Ching, in an attempt to rebel against established norms, decides to join a group of girls looking to break free from the clichés of youth. With her new circle of friends, each with their own stories and dreams, they embark on mischievous escapades that challenge social conventions. However, things complicate when the protagonist begins to question the true meaning of freedom and friendship.

The combination of humor and drama provides a heartfelt portrayal of the highs and lows of adolescence, reflecting the tensions between tradition and modernity. As the plot unfolds, Hui-Ching must face difficult decisions that will shape her path and her relationship with those around her. With an idiosyncratic direction and memorable performances, this film is not only a reflection of Taiwanese youth in the 90s but also an invitation to all who have struggled to find their voice in a world that sometimes seems intent on silencing us.
