Happy Together

In the vibrant heart of Hong Kong, two young lovers, Lai and Ho, are embroiled in a tumultuous relationship marked by passion and disillusionment. After an impromptu trip to Argentina, where they hope to rediscover their love and find a new beginning, things quickly become complicated. The beauty of Buenos Aires contrasts with the emotional turmoil they face, and soon they realize that their love is both a source of happiness and pain.

As they try to reconcile their differences, tensions rise and the initial spark begins to fade. The film explores themes of identity, love, and the sense of belonging, all conveyed through vibrant cinematography that captures the essence of both worlds. Over time, the arrival of a new character, a young man who enters their lives, adds another layer of complications, unleashing jealousy and confrontations that force Lai and Ho to confront their own demons.

Told in a poetic and visually striking manner, the story feels both like an emotional journey and an exploration of loneliness and yearning. As the protagonists struggle with their feelings, they are compelled to reconsider their connection and what it truly means to be "happy together." The film is an intimate reflection on romantic love and its sorrows, capturing the essence of living in a world where desire and reality often collide in raw and beautiful ways.
