Her Indian Mother

In a small village in colonial India, lives a young woman named Aditi, the daughter of a widowed mother who struggles to support her family amidst the cultural and social restrictions of the time. Aditi is a passionate dreamer who longs to explore the world beyond the borders of her home and challenge the traditional roles expected of her. Her mother, despite the difficulties, is a strong and wise figure who teaches her the value of love, resilience, and family unity.

The story intensifies when a young British man arrives in the village seeking new opportunities, and an unexpected connection develops between Aditi and him. This forbidden romance unleashes a whirlwind of emotions and conflicts: Aditi’s mother fights to protect her daughter's reputation, while the community is torn between tradition and modernity. As Aditi wrestles with her duty to her mother and her desire to follow her heart, she faces decisions that could change the course of her life forever.

In an environment fraught with tensions, love, identity, and the struggle for freedom intertwine in a poignant narrative. The film raises questions about sacrifice, female empowerment, and the lengths a mother is willing to go for her daughter's future. Set against a backdrop of rich traditions and landscapes, this work is a portrait of love and resistance in difficult times.
