In a small and picturesque French village, life unfolds amidst idyllic landscapes and the daily routine of its inhabitants. However, a wind of change disrupts their peace as World War II shakes the continent. The story follows Pierre, a young idealist caught between the struggle for freedom and his desire to protect his family. After the invasion, Pierre becomes an active member of the resistance, facing moral dilemmas and heart-wrenching decisions that test his values.

As the war progresses, the bonds among neighbors become strained; some choose to collaborate with the occupier, while others join the resistance, risking their lives for a better future. The plot thickens when Pierre falls in love with Claire, a brave nurse who shares his passion for freedom. Together, they must navigate a world filled with betrayals, sacrifices, and hopes as they strive to keep the flame of resistance alive.

As the war reaches its critical point, Pierre and Claire discover that the true enemy is not always the one in uniform, and they fight to find their place in a world torn apart by conflict. This poignant drama explores the bonds of love and loyalty in dark times, revealing how homeland can become both a refuge and a prison.
