House of Pleasures

In late 19th century Paris, a luxurious brothel serves as the epicenter of the stories of a group of women who, despite their harsh reality, seek love and freedom in a world that confines them. As day turns into night, the house fills with laughter and whispers as the girls prepare to welcome their clients. Each carries her own burden of dreams and disappointments: from the inexperienced young woman facing her first encounter to the veteran who has seen love transform into mere business.

Life in this oasis of pleasure is a ebb and flow of emotions, where friendship becomes a refuge against adversity. Multiple characters intertwine; some seek to escape this world, while others prefer to cling to the small joys that the house offers. Each has her own stories of the past, doubts, and hopes, revealed in moments of intimacy and vulnerability.

With a visual style reminiscent of the paintings of the era, the film captures the essence of a time when desire and desperation coexist. Through their experiences, these women invite us to reflect on freedom, love, and the struggle for dignity in an oppressive environment. Every encounter, every farewell, every longing, and every betrayal becomes a piece of a puzzle that reveals the complexity of humanity, leaving the viewer with a sense of nostalgia and contemplation.
