Island of the Fishmen

  • Log in or register to post comments

On a quiet and remote island in the Mediterranean, a group of fishermen finds themselves trapped in a mysterious series of events following the appearance of legendary beings: fish-men that inhabit the depths of the ocean. It all begins when a young and ambitious journalist, eager to cover an adventure story, arrives on the island in search of something extraordinary. However, what seemed like a simple investigation turns into a true odyssey.

The fishermen, fearful of the unknown, become embroiled in a drama that unleashes old legends and grudges. As our protagonist starts to unravel the secret of these strange beings emerging from the water, he faces resistance from the islanders, who wish to keep their dark past hidden. Amidst the beauty of the landscapes and the unsettling atmosphere, a story of forbidden love, betrayal, and, most importantly, the struggle between man and the creation of his own myths unfolds.

With unexpected twists and a horror aesthetic that evokes nostalgia for old B-movies, the plot leads the viewer to question the relationship between humanity and nature. The journalist, caught between his ambition and the search for truth, finds himself at the center of a conflict that could forever change the history of the island, unearthing secrets that should have remained submerged forever.
