Italian for Beginners

In a small Danish village, the lives of its inhabitants take an unexpected turn when a group of loners decides to enroll in an Italian course. Motivated by the idea of improving their language skills and perhaps finding love, each of them arrives with their own fears and dreams. Among them is a young shepherd who feels out of place with his family, a woman who has just lost her husband and is struggling to rediscover herself, and an energetic and obsessive organizer who has everything under control except for her love life.

As the course progresses, the hilarious language lessons become the perfect backdrop for unexpected connections and complicated dynamics that arise among the students. Linguistic misunderstandings turn into amusing situations, and what begins as a simple attempt to learn to speak Italian soon evolves into an exploration of friendship, loneliness, and the search for love.

With a warm heart and a touch of humor, the story intertwines with the personal tales of each character, creating a tapestry of life in a microcosm where language becomes a bridge to new experiences. In the end, the protagonists will discover that learning to communicate goes beyond words, and that life is full of surprises that can change everything in an instant.
