In the heart of a consumerist society, a young man named Michel, trapped in the routine of his work life, becomes embroiled in a dangerous game when he unwittingly becomes the protagonist of a financial scandal. After receiving a counterfeit bill he believes to be genuine, he initiates a series of events that unleash his ambition, leading him down a dark path of corruption and betrayal.

Motivated by the allure of easy money, Michel becomes complicit in a fraud that cascades into the lives of those close to him. As his world crumbles, his morals are tested, and the decisions he makes begin to have devastating consequences for those around him. The film delves into the dark corners of greed and the chaos that money can unleash, showcasing how ethics blur in the face of financial power's seduction.

As Michel further descends into this downward spiral, he confronts the realities of a society that rewards material success over integrity. The secondary characters that orbit his life—from friends to business partners—are also swept away by this cycle of ambition, reflecting the harsh reality of a world that has forgotten the value of the intangible. In his descent into despair, the film raises questions about the nature of good and evil, and what "value" truly means in an era dominated by rampant capitalism.
