In a vibrant and welcoming town in the United Kingdom, we follow the life of the unique Poole family, composed of parents Andy and Wendy, and their two daughters: the independent yet somewhat rebellious Nicola, and the sweet and dreamy Abigail. The story unfolds over a summer, showcasing the everyday interactions of this dysfunctional yet endearing family as they navigate life's ups and downs with humor and love.

Andy, a man with a huge heart, tries to maintain balance in the household, while Wendy grapples with her role as a mother and wife, seeking to find her place in a world that seems to misunderstand her. The arrival of a new family member, a young and charismatic chef in search of new horizons, stirs the calm waters of their routine and provokes a series of funny and touching conflicts.

As the narrative progresses, the aspirations and fears of each family member are revealed; from Nicola’s dreams clashing with the harsh realities of life, to Wendy’s longing to discover her true identity beyond her family responsibilities. Amidst all this, the film subtly explores love, friendship, and the importance of familial support, allowing the viewer to reflect on the essence of happiness and the uncertainty of life. With a style rich in witt and emotional moments, this story touches the heart and leaves a lasting sense of warmth.
