In the epic decade of the 1960s, a brave group of French soldiers faces a daunting challenge in the heart of the Algerian War. The story follows Colonel Pierre de Montfort, a charismatic leader torn between loyalty to his country and his growing disillusionment with the brutal methods employed in the conflict. Montfort, determined to free his men from the cycle of violence and death, realizes that his mission has become personal, especially when one of his soldiers is captured by an insurgent group.

As tensions rise, the film delves into a whirlwind of action and moral dilemmas. Montfort must unite his squad to carry out an extremely dangerous rescue mission while grappling with betrayals, offers of peace, and the devastating impact of war on his own humanity. Along their journey, they discover not only courage and camaraderie but also the shadows of colonization and the struggle for independence.

With a blend of drama, action, and philosophical reflections on war and loyalty, this work presents a vivid portrayal of one man's internal struggle caught between his duties and his conscience. Featuring stunning landscapes and a powerful narrative, this film is a reminder that in times of conflict, the real battles are fought within each of us.
