In the turbulent post-war Germany, a man finds himself trapped between the echoes of his past and the despair of the present. After returning home from years in a concentration camp, he tirelessly searches for his missing son, a challenge that leads him to traverse the darkest corners of a devastated society. With a country in ruins and a desolate population, each encounter confronts him with guilt and the ghosts of his history, as well as the suffering of others.

With the help of a group of people who have also lost their loved ones, the protagonist immerses himself in a city full of secrets, where betrayal and sacrifice are commonplace. As he follows the clues, he faces moral dilemmas that make him question the nature of good and evil. His search is not only physical but also emotional; along the way, he confronts his own choices and regrets, revealing a bitter truth that challenges the fragility of hope.

The narrative reflects the anguish and longing that characterize a generation marked by war. With a bleak atmosphere and striking visual style, the film becomes a poignant portrait of the quest for redemption, loss, and the unbreakable bond of love between a father and his son. This odyssey of pain and discovery leaves a lasting impression, inviting the viewer to reflect on what it truly means to be lost and to find oneself again.
