In 1960s London, a lonely and somewhat eccentric woman named Martha lives trapped in a gray and monotonous routine. An office worker with a social life that is practically nonexistent, her quiet world takes an unexpected turn when she meets a charismatic man who promises to free her from her boring existence. However, what seems to be a passionate and promise-filled romance soon transforms into a psychological nightmare.

Martha finds herself trapped in a toxic relationship, where her new companion becomes an increasingly possessive manipulator. Tension mounts as she loses her identity and ability to make decisions, becoming a shadow of herself. As the relationship becomes more distorted, the boundaries between reality and madness begin to blur, revealing the dark secrets that both characters hide.

The atmosphere of the film is dense and oppressive, engulfing the viewer in a heartbreaking emotional journey that explores the darker dimensions of love, dependency, and abuse. With striking visual style and memorable performances, the story becomes a reflection on power, vulnerability, and the quest for freedom. In the end, Martha confronts the harsh reality of her life and the choices that have led her to this critical juncture, in a desperate struggle to reclaim her voice and sense of identity.
